甲基乙二醛(MG)是一种内源性代谢产物,在糖尿病中含量增加,也是美拉德反应(糖化反应)中的一个常见中间体。MG能够与蛋白质发生反应,形成晚期糖基化终末产物(AGE)。MG与蛋白质中的精氨酸残基反应,形成多种加合物,例如精氨酸吡啶。这种抗体特异性针对精氨酸吡啶:N-(5-羟基-4,6-二甲基嘧啶-2-基)-L-鸟氨酸。
